All the girls are relatively the same ages 4to6 months 🥴🤔 Only 2 are putting out.View attachment 4154769
Soft eggshells 16% layer feed. 1st bag is down to only one more serving, then I'm going to up the % to a higher level.
I'll be heading to Walmart for some Calcium Citrate +D3. I've been told about this from the group. Thanks for your advice 👍😁🐓🐔
Completely up to you but I like using an all flock pellet feed (Kalmback Flock Maker 20%) and provide oyster shell on the side. I've never had issues with egg quality... knock on wood!

Calcium citrate D3 pills for immediate boost.

Oyster shells for longterm maintenance/ prevention.

Also, your girls are pretty young, and I’m guessing they’ve just started laying. Wonky eggs are pretty common with new layers, but it should settle down.

Just be sure that you always have supplemental calcium, generally in the form of oyster shell, available. Somehow they know if they need it and will eat it when needed. One of the amazing mysteries of chickens.

You should be able to find oyster shell pretty much anywhere that sells chicken feed and supplies.

"Wonky" egg. How about this for a wonky egg. No shell 🥴🤔
As far as calcium I have been trying free range of Oyster Shells

@WingItRanch
I've heard of this brand of feed. I haven't yet tried feeding my girls pellets 🥴🤔 Where is it Kalmback Flock Maker 20% sold. On line only 🤔

Can't find it in my area but I order delivery on Chewy. If you buy 2 bags at once, it's free shipping. I have 18 chickens so I go through it fast enough and have plenty of storage. Not sure if that would work for you.

This was her first egg attempt. Mostly shelled, but not completely. It’s not broken, just caved in where there was membrane, but no shell. Later that same day, she passed a blob of yolk and white, not even a membrane. On day 3 (4?), she laid an egg just like yours, membrane but no shell. (I didn’t think to take a pic, or at least I can’t find it.) All the rest have been perfect.

You’ll see a lot of weird things when chickening!

You ain't kidding. One of my reds 🐓had a nasty vent and I had to get her and clean her up. I think maybe she was the one who dropped that Wonky. 🤔😁👍🐓

They all look so beautiful & healthy.
Hello Genene. Nice to meet you. How long have you been clucking. Me around 2months.
This chicken clucking is more to it than I ever thought. But I don't give up.👍
There is so much to be on the lookout for.👀🤔 From there comb to soft shelled eggs, to flystrike and even Intestinal issues. The weather 🥵
I'm dealing with a few issues like soft egg shells, diarea, low production, but there young, big and yea they look healthy. 🐓🪺🥚🐔👍😁😎 Stay well.
