Looking at a couple of Bourbon Red hens available form a nearby Amish farmer.
Is it OK to interbreed them?
We like heritage breeds & don't care about purity of the offspring, we just want strong Heritage lines.
 
I think they'd be fine, so long as you're not intending to sell any poults as purebred. I have a hen that is a cross between a Royal Palm and a Bourbon Red, and she has always been strong and healthy. I love her.
 
TY - no intent to sell just for food & entertainment like our 32+/- chickens
