Hi @rakeshkarthikHi @Wyorp Rock
I’ve noticed black spots on my rooster’s comb for the past 2–3 weeks. I figured it’s not a fungal infection and thought it might be normal. Should I be worried?
Thanks
Lost my rooster this past winter he had the black scabs from frost bite even though I used Vaseline on his comb and legs. He was so gentle with my hens and a gentleman so easy going. I came home from work to find him with his comb and most of the top scalp gone. The hens had a bad habit of pecking at the dots but I tried everything I could google and all 6 hens do what they do "peck". Had to send him to rooster heaven. "Peck No More" never worked the purple color and awful deterrent smell didn't last one day. Good luck to your rooster.Hi @rakeshkarthik
I think it looks like scabs from picking or fighting. I wouldn't worry too much, just keep an eye on the scab to see that they are healing. Sometimes hens will pick at scabs and make them worse.
