Black Star Chickens

I have recently purchased 2 black star hens and am looking for a rooster and more hens. I live on the outside of Dothan, Al and have looked but the closest have been in Atlanta. I know there has to be some around this area. I have someone that I can get bitties from but I would like older ones to get started good. If anyone can help please let me know.

I'm sure you know this but a black sex link chicken is a mixed bird. If you breed a blk sex link male to a blk sex link female you won't get the same quality bird as the parents. I would suggest looking at a breed that you like the qualities of that breed and have him as your rooster. That way you can get somewhat of a repeatable process. You could very easily get barred chickens from
Mixing 2 blk sex links. Said all that and I still breed mine lol.

Yes, I told my hubby that would could just get RIR and the Barred Rock and have plenty. We have a rooster that is a Heniz 57 and is very pretty that we are going to put with our black stars. I just have to say I cant make up my mind.
