Black Star with large lump on back

I have a black Star with a large mass on her left side toward her tail feathers. It doesn't seem to bother her and we didn't notice anything different until she matured. She's about 16 weeks old and some of the other hens in the flock just started laying eggs today. I tried feeling it and it feels hard, almost boney. It's very hard to see anything due to all the feathers though.

Is her tail pointed to the side? It could be wry tail. That can be genetic or from injury. It usually doesn't affect their quality of life.

I'd say yes but as a result of the lump. I'll look more into wry tail but nothing I read quickly mentioned something about a hard mass. I'm a little worried she may have a tumor.

I can't tell from a picture if it's possibly a tumor, or if it's just wry tail. If you think it may be a tumor then vet care would be the best option, to see if it's removable or not.
