Black star with rose comb?

I have 3 black star pullets that I purchased from MPC. Two are almost identical with single combs. The third is smaller than the other two and has a rose comb. Is it possible she is not really a black star or are rose combs possible since one of the parents is a RIR? My oddball also has much more gold feathers on her chest than the others.

From what I've been hearing about MPC, there are several people that got something different than what they ordered. However if the father was possibly a rose combed RIR, or if the mother was a Dominique, you could possibly get rose combed Black Sexlinks.

I have a black sex-link that has a rose comb. Her mother is a dominique.
