Black swollen lumps on the tops of my bobwhite quails feat!! ( the quail are now fully feathered

On the tops of about half of my bobwhite quails feet there are these large swollen balls were there toes come in to meet. Some of them are just starting to get them and some have bloody ones from the other quail pecking them. I wanted to know if anyone else had this happen. What it is. And how to treat it. I have 15 and they are in a 4x2 house with a 4x6 run.
In this pic look at all of there feet but the worst is the bird in center left

Have you looked at the possibility of avian pox? I'm not any kind of expert but that's one of the possible diseases that quail and other birds can get if they get bitten by a mosquito carrying it or come in contact with wild birds.

yes i have and i researched it after you mentioned it but it does not seem like it is.
