Black Toe! 4 day old chick

I have a 4 day old California White chick that has a black toe on her right foot. I tried to take pictures of it but they turned up very blurry, I attached them anyway.

Her toe nail is sideways and her toe up to the first toe joint is black! What should I do? She doesn’t act like it bothers her or anything. Is it going to fall off?

Was she shipped to you, or did you hatch her? She may have gotten an injury during shipping, or perhaps somebody pecked her toe. I had one like that. Her toe fell off and she is fine. Just keep an eye on her to make sure she isn't getting picked at.

I picked her up from a hatchery where she was in an area with A LOT of other day olds. I didn't notice it when I brought her home and inspected her but I put her in with a small group and I haven't noticed anyone bothering her.

Just keep an eye on her. The toe will probably just fall off. That happened to my Zsha Zsha, and she is fine.
