Hi,
I have decided to sell my 2+ yro Black Araucana Roo. I have been using him for breeding in my Araucana pen and he is good but, I have all Tufted Females except one and I am having a hard time dealing with the tuft gene issue. I find when he breeds with my tufted girls I am having quite a bit chick deaths
He does have off coloring on his legs but, the few chicks that have hatched out from him, none have the tint of pink on them.
Here is a picture of him from the back of his head showing the tufts on both sides of his head. This pictures is from Oct. 2010. B/C I have another Lav Rooster in with him the Lav has been pecking at this roosters Tufts! But, I promise he is tufted.
This is a picture of his offspring that was hatched out this weekend. This little chickie is tufted on bothsides and I am glad he made into the world
Any questions let me know.
Thanks,
Beth
