Just thought I would share my new baby! Tell me this isn’t the cutest lil baby turkey He/she is so sweet comes when I call already and loves to snuggle. Really hope she/he stays this sweet. Daily handling will not be stopped in hopes to keep her/him sweet..no name yet as i have no idea of sex

Human imprinting turkey poults can lead to adult turkeys that do not understand that there is a difference between turkeys and people.

If the poult turns out to be a hen it will likely not be a problem other then perhaps refusing to mate with male turkeys once it is an adult.

If the poult turns out to be a tom, it can lead to a human aggressive turkey.

Turkeys are very social birds and should be raised with other turkeys for companionship.

Oh he she won’t be alone I will be getting another turkey in about a month. This was the only one they had that I liked and was drawn to I choose my pets (family members) by a feeling I have or if an odd thing happens (like one of my polish’s) is fell out of the pen it was in an on to me..lol I know I’m not the norm but nothing ever gets culled for food ets everything is family Everyone is expected to get along etc
