Black white crested polish question

Is it just the roosters that have the two little red things hanging from the lower portion of their faces? I am very new to chickens and really don't know. Thanks!

Those two little red things are wattles, and both hens and roosters have them. They generally show up earlier on the cockerels than on the pullets. Cockerels tend to have 'punk rock' topknots whereas pullets are generally more rounded.

Thanks so much for the reply. I have four of these that are young. Two have had the wattles for about 3 weeks now and the other two do not have any signs of them. Would you think that the two with wattles would be males? Maybe the other two are hens since they have none so far? Thanks! All four tend to have the punk rock topnots.
