I'm in the minority here i think but KILL IT THEN RUN SCREAMING TO THE HOUSE AND LET SOMEONE ELSE BE SURE ITS DEAD. but that just me. Little spiders big spiders, even spiders on tv i leave.
The fact that my Ken was bitten 13 times by those things and almost died - FOE! He lost over 100 lbs in 2 months from those evil horrid disgusting creatures.
I am always glad to see a few and get a chance to take a few pics. The kids know to be safe, know where they hide and know they can be deadly. If we feel it is in an area that makes it a threat we relocate them, otherwise they get to stay put. I think it is a great time for this thread to re-surface. It is that time of year again.
I used to kill the black widows I found around here, until I read they would prey on scorpions. We have Bark Scorpions, which are more dangerous than black widows. The main reason we got into chickens, was to cut down on the bug population around here. Turns out that now we no longer have any black widows left. The chickens ate them all. We'll have to see if they took care of the scorpions as well, once the weather warms up.
