black_cat's Totally Awesome Crazy Flock Thread

I have a flock of 50 chickens and growing.... Not all of them have names except a few favorites. I have a 3 yr old Buff Orpington named Red who is my favorite. Red is a loud mouth and incredibly nosy... If you are outside doing something, she has to be in the middle of it and giving you her two cents the entire time. 😂

In addition to the chickens, we have 7 ducks, 2 goats, 4 horses, 3 indoor cats, and 1 dog.... All of whom, along with the chickens, are incredibly spoiled. They eat better than the humans, I think. And as you can imagine, my monthly feed bill is enormous....
That's so much fun!!!! What kind of dog? (I'm kinda very dog obsessed with dogs atm lol)

She was a giveaway but we got her as a puppy. She's 16 months old now. She is half Husky, half Great Pyrenees. Sweet as pie and friendly but just enough of a little devil to keep you on your toes. She LOVES to play keep away whether you want to play or not.... And will steal anything she thinks you want in a blink of an eye if you aren't paying attention.

I have three hens and a rooster. Yup, I can call them that now. They've graduated to the "big birds" names. And it's easier to type than pullets and cockerel.

I'm going to get 5 Blue Australorp chicks in June. 67-97 days, depending on what day it is. (Don't know yet.) The count down continues...

BC, dogs are wonderful. Want to talk about unconditional love? Oh yeah. It's spelled D-O-G.

That sounds great! I know a lot of people are fans of their australorps. They're wonderful birds! They've never been my favorite but they're always fun. Make sure to post chick pics when the babies arrive!!

Dogs are wonderful!! We are *probably* getting a golden retriever puppy rather soon. I can't wait!!
