So upset right now. Am currently out on another trip and had a sitter watching the animals again. Got a call earlier that one of the ducks had died and they FaceTimed me.
Blackberry was upside down with his legs in the air by the pool. No injuries, just dead. I have no words. I don't know what happened. I'm still a day out so won't be able to do an autopsy or anything.
Don't know if it was a heart attack....stroke...or what. He was the pinnacle of health when I left. Super clean, no cuts, not scrapes, no respiratory issues, nothing. He was acting just like his usual self when I left.
At a loss and just so sad, for him and for Raspberry who is now alone (Hershey & the babies are sectioned off from the main run just for now since they're too young to be out).
