It's a very serious disease and unless you start treatment ASAP your poult will probably die.yikes,. ours here is all yellow, nothing else in it. I will try to take a pic tomorrow.
I would believe depression if it had just been separated from it's clutchmates or mother, but yellow poop is a sign that something is very wrong with the liver, and in turkeys and peafowl, it's usually blackhead (histomoniasis). This thread has some good info in it:No offense was taken. Since there were no pictures of the poo at the time of my post, I didn't really have much to go on, so I thought the depression idea might carry some weight.
When mine aren't eating I tube feed them. Watch the videos and read the links. I promise you it's easier than it sounds. FWIW, I am available by phone if you can get the supplies.Hi Kathy
We got Metronidazole from the vet and now it is the challenge to give it every 12 hours which I think I succeeded the first time. What do you suggest for food. I don't think she has eaten in a couple of days. She drinks well but I don't think she is eating. She is pretty wobbly and almost looks drunk still. She has to be weak from lack of food. Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
JB
