Blackhead research question

I have been attempting a second round of histomoniasis research and have hit a road block as to prevalence. I've seen numerous posts recommending reaching out to local ag extensions, but as most of these people are still working from home, I doubt I'll get far with that. (Still planning to try though)
Does anyone know of any databases that track reports? I've looked and looked, and it sure seems to me that something serious enough to wipe out a commercial operation would be tracked and available to the public.

I am in north Florida, if anyone else lives in this area and has some insight, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I have a single year old hen (her brooder mate was lost to a snake on his first day out last year) kept with four chickens. I have two poults arriving next week, so she will finally have turkey company again. All freerange during daylight hours.

I have heard deworming regularly can help prevent infection, so I deworm all of the birds with safeguard when I notice combs looking a little pale on the hens, usually every 4-6 months or so. I like that safeguard (%10 goat suspension) is so easy to dose (and nearly impossible to overdose) and in such a small flock can be dosed directly to each bird based on weight. I am concerned about overuse though, and inadvertently building up resistant worms. Are there any other good options that you all recommend?

Thanks for any advice!

You can try calling your state veterinarian.

Unfortunately, even if an area is blackhead free, it does not mean it can't show up there in the future due to transmission from migratory birds. Sandhill Preservation Center went many years blackhead free before it became a problem for them.

Thanks for the links. Great info there.
I see you're in a different part of the US, but what kind of deworming schedule do you use?
I do not have any issues with blackhead and have never seen any evidence of any kind of worms in my flock. I do not worm at all.

If I ever find evidence of a worm issue, I will look into proven methods.

@casportpony is an excellent source for methods and amounts.
