Bleeding after shots administration

I just gave 2 chicks that have been sneezing and losing weight 2 each shots into thier breath area. Now they are both bleeding. What did I do wrong? FIRST time doing this.

You gave each chicken 2 shots in the same place? What did you give them and why? Did you pull the plunger to check for lack of blood before administering the medication?

I've given shots and have not experienced bleeding.

Same area not same spot. Ivermectin and an antibiotic. I didn't know to plunge and look for blood. YouTube video I watched left that part out. Could I have just hit a vessel?

Both got shots in the breast area. One of the chicks has a very thin breastbone. I'm guessing she has worms, because she constantly eats.

How old are the chicks? What size needle did you use?
