I have a white jersey giant, about 6-7 wks old that is bleeding from her tail feathers. It looks like some have maybe been plucked out and the blood is coming from the shell of where the feather originates (if that makes sense.) I know that she will be ok, but my concern is that the other chicks are pecking at the blood spots. I'm hoping they do not make things worse and create a wound. I've cleaned the blood off as best as I can, but she is white, so it's really hard. Is there anything else I can do or just let nature take its course?? Concerned chick mom lol.

I might try to wrap it with vet wrap or cloth, but I'm not sure, if I had to I would put the chick in a pen next to the others so she didn't get lonely. Hopefully I helped.
