Bleeding from the beak...

Well Your right Buttercup, It looks fine. Its stomp'in around the tote just ticked. Its lonesome, loud, and not at all happy with its living quarters...Much like my first x-wife.... I will do my best to make the bird happy thou. I hope to move the rest to a new wire pen today. I figure I'll hold off a couple hens to put with it, as you and Robo suggested, in a bigger tote. That will be a good excuse to keep it and its companions in the spare bed room too. (I had mixed emotions about moving all of them) Till the GG bobs hatch at the end of the month anyway.... Thanks again, Bill

It's a little young to tell if M/F. But something that you said made me think Male. But Robo could be right and it being big it could be a girl. So just watch and see what happens. If it is a girl - well then a few girls with it and a boy to keep them happy. Just watch the behavior, that will let you know what to do.

Now I have my DG's special little ones, in a wire 2' x 2' pen with a drop pan (at present a plastic feed bag cut out) under it. DH just made one up from hardware cloth and put wire legs on it. Its like my other breeder pens, but it has the legs. Their cage is outside, but hey, I'd bring them inside in that cage, put them on a stand and enjoy them.
