Bleeding toe!

My young peacock lost his toenail, it's bleeding pretty good. There was a very bad storm last night, looks like his chest is also injured. Any ideas of how to bandage or what.

My young peacock lost his toenail, it's bleeding pretty good. There was a very bad storm last night, looks like his chest is also injured. Any ideas of how to bandage or what.

Usually I just leave them alone and they heal on their own. I had a young peahen and she had a bad scrap on the top of her toe. It kept bleeding so I wrapped it up and she healed up great. I cleaned the wound. Applied triple antibiotic ointment. Used non stick gauze over the wound. Then I wrapped it in vet wrap. Stayed on for a few day, long enough for her to heal up. You might want to try something similar. Try wrapping with the vet wrap around his leg not just his toe so it stays on. If you post pictures of the injuries other people with more experience might be able to offer their advice. Good luck
