Blenheim Feeder w/Grill?

I saw this feeder in the Meyer Hatchery catalog and wondered if anyone has used one? I couldn't find where there was a review on it in the Reviews forum.

I called Meyer yesterday to get more info but the sales rep pretty much just read to me what I was already seeing in the catalog. It doesn't say how much feed it holds, it just says 13.3 lbs. Is that for how much feed it holds? That seems like a lot of weight if that's just the weight of the empty feeder.

We've tried so many different feeders (ready-made and home-made), I hate to waste money on one that isn't worth it. But we need to do something to stop these girls from flinging their food everywhere.

If anyone has tried this, would you please let me know your thoughts on it?

I have not used that feeder, but you can put your feeder inside a black rubber fortex tub that fits it or an oil pan, to save the feed - just put the feed back into the feeder daily that makes its way out to the rubber tub. Works great.

I haven't used this feeder either, but I prefer a feeder that you can hang. I find that if you hang the feeder about even with their backs and feed pellets you reduce almost all waste.
