Help me decide- Grandpa’s Feeder or other brand?

Just google treadle feeder reviews and you will find lots of reviews. One site has reviewed about every feeder there is but it is getting kind of stale, they seem to have stopped adding new content. The model they reviewed on us has to be one of the original models or at least 2015 because they hammered us on using styrofoam in the packing which we stopped using in favor of a wood crate inside the cardboard box. That stopped all shipping damage, knock on wood. On the plus side they don't use referral links so they are honest and not going after commissions on sales.

As far as our feeders, there aren't that many options. Three sizes, then soft close or non soft close on two of the three sizes. All are exterior. Size, the medium feeder is the best value and has gone through several generations of improvements that the small and extra large have not. We have a main site with the ending .net for basic info on the feeders and the .com site is the actual shopping cart. If you don't like reading you will hate our websites but I hate answering questions via email for the simple fact of I don't know what else the potential customer hasn't taken the time to read. The more they know the more likely they will be successful with our feeders, but I don't know what they don't know.

I'm one of those people that would rather lose a sale than sell to someone that isn't able to make the feeder work for them. Better to let them have problems with the other guy's product. LOL
Are you not selling the small feeders still?

No, the last batch of small feeders sold very slowly, maybe ten to fifteen medium feeders for every small feeder. We can just barely keep up with the medium feeder sales so it is better to focus on them than make a batch of small feeders that takes years to sell out. The small feeder had the old counterweight systems so the soft close didn't work as well as the medium feeder with the much stronger closing action. Plus, only 12 pounds of feed in a small feeder with a medium holding almost three times as much. And making feeders in the U.S. is much more costly than making them in the Philippines so better to make an $85.00 feeder than a $65.00 feeder that only cost a couple of bucks less in materials.
