My friend got 2 cuckoo maran chicks to eventually add to her small flock of 6. 1 chick was always acting funny, ticking it's head a bit. She played around a bit & figured out it is blind. She does not want to cull it right now because the other chick needs companionship. How would a blind chick do? Has anyone had compassion & kept one or is it best to cull it?

I just saw something on line about a rescue that took in a bunch of hens. One was blind. If I remember correctly she ended up doing just fine. How they introduced her to older hens, I'm not sure. I'll see if I can find the article.

Well if it makes it ok and ends up being a roo... should name it Ray Charles! Bobbin head and singing is rooster song!
