Blind chick

Does anyone have experience with a chick that won't open it's eyes? He hatched yesterday and he seems healthy except that he won't open his eyes. Just wondering what to do.

My chick eyes were open then stuck shut off and on for the first week or so. I bought some meds from my feed store that I would put on their eyes once or twice a day and after a few days they were open for good. Hopefully they will open. You can try warm paper towels for now to see if they are just crusted shut. Good luck

Take a Q-tip, dip it in some warm (not hot), clean water and carefully wipe his eyes along the eyelid. Don't pull on them, just wipe it and see if that helps. It may just be gunked up.
