Hi all. hope someone can help. this morning I noticed one of my Isa Browns has suddenly gone totally blind. her eyes look fine and other than not being able to see she is in good health. any ideas what could have caused this ?

Chickens can have strokes or seizures, heart conditions, viral or bacterial infections that can cause neurological damage and sometimes these can effect their eyes directly. Another possible cause is disease, such as Avian Pox or Ocular Mareks. Quarantine her in case it is a disease and make sure she eats and drinks and is kept as stress free is as possible. I would also advice taking her to a vet that knows poultry and have her thoroughly examined. Good luck!
