Blind runner duck

I think two would be nice for him... But if you were willing another would be nice for Bentley too, incase you are putting them all together in the future.

I've got 2 gals for ya!

Where are you?! I already asked the rescue to look but if you are closer?! I'm in southern Maine.

I think I will get him two! I eventually will get Bentley another girl as well. Right now we are almost in a neighborhood setting so I can't have to many. But by next Spring I will be all moved into the 45 acres where my horses will be and my little duck Haven! Then I will be able to have a bunch.

So happyhappyhappy that Nelson has such a wonderful new home!

Something that I didn't see mentioned when you were talking about introducing everyone is that I read that you should quarantine new ducks for a month before adding them to a flock, in case there is a disease incubating. I know you had Nelson 'vetted', but that doesn't necessarily catch everything. This seems particularly important since Nelson was so malnourished, which means his immune system may be a little compromised.

What a happy duck!! So is Petri mean to or interested in Nelson?
I can't tell if Petri is being mean or just flat out infatuated with him. Nelson does a lot of slamming himself up against the cage when she is is like shaking and quacking like crazy. So I'm guessing it is more of like a sexual thing. One thing I do know if that Bentley does not like it one bit.

Nelson has no regard for his eyes... especially when he is trying to get for Petri on the other side of the fence. Which is at this point the only thing that is really worrying me.

Very intense! My goodness, hopefully I can find Nelson his own girls ASAP. Because Bentley is not very happy that he is trying to steal Petri.
Ever feel like the adult in charge of a group of tweens? I do. Einz screamed - screamed - at Bean for three weeks. Mercy. We are still working things out, but it's much calmer here now. But due to hormones we have two flocks side by side. Such drama! They peacefully coexist as long as Bean doesn't hop on top of Romy. That doesn't bother Romy, but it upsets some of the runners. sheesh.
