I won't let them out during the storm either... i agree, I just tried to cover the run as much as I could so when the storm in over there won't be two feet of snow in their run. I'll do alot for them but I won't shovel 2 feet of snow for them...lol. Wish I thought of the flock block too late now...next time!We do not let our chickens out when it is snowing or colder than 0°F . People wonder why their chickens have frostbite when they let them out when it is cold, snowing and windy. Keep your chickens in when it is storming or just plain cold. They will live. Feed and water in the coop. I would make sure they have plenty of food as they eat more when it is cold out. Adding a chicken feed block or other fun food helps to keep them busy.
