My Coop
My Coop
This has been such a crazy winter, first zero+ freezing weather, and now Blizzard "Nemo" I don't think all the prep in the world would have helped here. The winds blew so hard last night, under the eaves where we have vents, snow got into the coop. The run is got drifts from any and all nooks and cranny's. The girls laid 3 eggs anyway. I gave them food and water and some lettuce "spring mix" Still raging outside, not supposed to let up till 1pm. Flock seems no worse for wear.

Where are you located Izzymoon? The wind howled here too. In fact it still is howling, and it is very cold, but the sun is now out. We lucked out here in our section of NEPA, only about 5-6 inches of snow where we live.

Here are my pics! I had some shower curtains hung around 2 sides of the run and snow still got in there. They hate snow. Everything is all cleaned up and shoveled out now. We ended up with about 20 inches. It was hard to tell exactly how much we got because the howling winds created snow drifts and shallow areas.

wow, glad everyone is safe, I almost got one down the ramp and then suddenly she freaked and flapped her wings and jumped back into the coop, the others refused to come out. Sure if I was a little chicken out in a coop with those winds I would be a bit freaked out too. The coop is cozy but plenty of room for the 5 of them. Supposed to get up to 35 tomorrow hope it melts things a little, get things back to normal. Thanks for sharing all your photos, makes me feel not so lonely out in the drifts of snow. It was quite a storm
