Block nesting box off????

Are you supposed to block nesting boxes off in a coop when you put young chicks in untill they are old enough to lay?

Welcome to BYC Harley! Most people say to block them off...I never have and no problems

You can block them off until they start roosting consistently to prevent them from sleeping / pooping in them. This can be a hard habit to break, as they get older.
