Yes, that seems very cute. I am pretty flexible and have not been able to decide yet on which way to vote. As long as it is not too hard to make.

I'm in. I vote for the Exploding Block quilt.
I made changes!!! go and look at the blocks and if we decide to go with the same background fabric line for color matching Majack I will send you yours and fenrosie is you join in on this swap I will do the same for you too.

I will try and make make a proto block of the small star one today. I might also play with the exploding block.

The exploding block is 6 1/2 inches finished and was more fun to make then I expected. It does take some small pointed sharp scissors and care when cutting it open. This is a great method and makes a nice quilt that uses up lots of scraps. We would have to make a good number of these if we are swapping with 12 people. Maybe 48 blocks?

The Big Star Quilt pattern, using 5 inch charms (squares), finishes off at 1/16 th of an inch shy of 11 1/2 inches. It is very easy to make and you only rotary cut. No cutting with scissors. Some care needs to be taken to choose small prints that will not show the line between the 1/2 square triangles. This way the star will look inset. I did not make the sashing, corner stones, and the snowballing of the star corners. I would probably not add that with the finished quilt as the smaller stars look great the way they are. We would make about 12 blocks when swapping with 12 people. Just my guess.

I can add pictures later if anyone would like.

I am off to make more exploding blocks. Addictive!

If we do the large star block with 10 inch squares, how many blocks would that be? 9 ? Each block is 25 inches square or so.
