Someone ask if we were doing a block swap so I said I would find out if any one was interested. This is a good time of the year to do one.

We are up to 12 people. Sign ups are closed.

The blocks will need to be send to me by March 15. Please in-close a SASE to return them to you with the postage on the return envelope. If you want a Delivery Confirmation to return them to you the PO will put that on for you and I will let you know your number because they leave the whole receipt on the envelope. If you have any questions about that just pm me and I'll explain it better if you don't understand.

I need everyone who is participating to send me your information, name, address and BYC name. Thanks

Here is the one we will do, we will do it in reds, whites, and blue. The small squares that are dark will be blue. The other 4 large darker ones will be red and the rest white.

http://www.quilterscache.com/C/CarrieNationBlock.html On the pattern your see Colors 1,2 &3 This is how we will do them. Color one will be red, color two is blue, and color three is white.

We are still working on the Cancer ribbon swap in the club. After that we could do a simple one. Dixie it's where you get a pattern for a quilt block and make 12 or whatever the number is to make, send them in, and then get 12 back of other's and yours mixed.

OK that's great. What has Acre's got me into. lol Lets see how many more we can get.

WriterofWords, how long until your done with the Cancer ribbon swap? That one was too hard for me to do.

I would be up for one. I am not a terribly advanced quilter, but would be okay with beginner - advancing intermediate squares.
Do people pick a colorway typically or is it open as far as that goes?

dixie&trixie :

Can you explain exactly what a block swap is? Im a beginner quilter so Im a little wet behind the ears.

Here are a couple samples to show you. If we get 12 people to do this then we will all make the same block. We can do any colors we want or we could pick out the colors.
It doesn't have to be any of these I just wanted to show you some. AND don't think you couldn't do any of these, they are all real simple.

If you go to page two on this one and check out Rhonda's and Patrica's they are beautiful. This would make a great spring quilt. hint hint.
