My white India Blue was attacked by a dog. He lost all of his tail feathers and most of his flying feathers from his wings. He looks rough, but his behavior seems normal. He is bleeding from the broken tail feathers intermittently. It clots, then he starts to bleed again. Should I try to pull these broken feathers? Or will they clot and heal on their own? I don’t want to hurt him anymore, but if it saves his life.... Not sure what to do.

You may want to repost in the Emergencies, Disease, Injuries & Cure forum ....

I don't know Peafowls but I'm thinking pulling the feathers may not be a good idea, I maybe wrong. You could try putting some cornstarch, flour or Bleed Stop to try stop the bleeding. Also keep him warm & treat for shock .... Please repost this in the other forum, you will get a better response.

If you can post pictures, that would help and if you update your profile with your location, saves responding replies asking your location ... Helps know you time zone, weather conditions & predator possibilities in your area as well as your accessibility to supplies.

Thanks I’ll try that
