Hello,
I went to check on the girls this morning and noticed some blood in one of the droppings. I recently got 4 new birds this week and I'm guessing its from them given I've never seen blood like this in my older 3 girls. I treated my older girls for coccidiosis a few months ago, so I don't have to worry about the new birds passing it on right? Is it coccidiosis? Or something else? Is it any cause for concern and should I separate them? The new ones havn't acted sick, except maybe one of the new golden laced, sometimes I notice she'll puff up and kind of sit there for a bit, but then she'll go off and eat and act normal. Thanks for any help!

To be on the safe side I would treat for coccidiosis and deworm the flock. You can do both at the same time, just don't eat the eggs during and for ten days following treatment. This is why you should quarantine new birds :(
Is it ok to treat a flock or certain birds with corid twice? I already treated my flock a few months ago, so I don't know if it would be bad to treat them another time. I've looked into worming before but there's just so much contradicting information, do you have any suggestions on which product to use? I did quarantine them and they didn't have any symptoms, I hadn't saw bloody stool before now. Thanks for the response!

It wouldn't hurt to treat them again. As for the dewormer, I used safe guard for goats, purchased at TSC. I followed the directions of the Chicken Chick: https://the-chicken-chick.com/control-treatment-of-worms-in-chickens/

I filled a water bottle with the dewormer mixture and sprayed the feed as I was stirring it to ensure an even coating and gave it to them in their feed.

I'm a quail person rather than a chicken person, but is it possible that it's cecal poop? It's usually darker and might look like that in a chicken.

A couple of months ago, we had droppings that looked like that and none of my chickens looked sick either. I treated with Corid, the blood stopped. I don't think I treated long enough though because the bloody droppings started again a couple of weeks later. I treated with Corid a second time and haven't had any problems since.

How old are they?

I agree, I would treat all for Coccidiosis and depending on age de-worm them too.

In case you need it -
Dose for Liquid Corid is 2 teaspoons per gallon of water or Powdered Corid is 1 1/2 teaspoon per gallon of water. Give for 5-7 days as the only source of drinking water.
Don't add anything else to the water except for Corid.

I would get some Safeguard Liquid Goat Wormer and direct dose each bird at a rate of 0.23ml per pound of weight give once a day for 5 days.

Check out the newbies for lice/mites too.
