blood in eggs why

Hi can enyone help me my chicken laid an egg with a lot of blood in it . What can it be .

It could be that the egg is fertile. Do you have a rooster

Could it have been just a meat spot?

No i dont have a rooster it was like a small blood clot someone sais it could be an injury
.when i think of it my husband put them a purch up for me i think it was to high when they jump of they hit another purch so iv got him to move it.hope thats all it is

Hi can anyone help I have rats in my chicken run how do I get rid of them put traps down but they not bothered with them

you want to get rid of rats they carry disease and can kill young chicks,also will eat eggs, do not use poison as they will leave it were the chickens can get it and it will kill your chickens. live traps or snap traps put were they chickens can't get them.

as for the blood spot that happens occasionally but usually is not a problem. and OK to eat
