I have a parakeet who is under a year old. She eats seeds and has clean water all the time, I give her spray mullet. She has not has any thing that would turn her urine red, what could this be!! She is not quite use to me yet, could it be stress! She is not showing any other symptoms!

I don't know what this could be exactly but I do have some ideas. Parakeets are extremely prone to tumors and cancers sort could be a tumor in her ovaries, or her kidneys or somewhere else. This is the unfortunate side of buying parakeets. Ive lost 3 parakeets to tumors. One got them all over his wings that were so bad he couldn't move his wings. The other two got them internally. She could be egg bound. Does she have any male budgies with her? IF so check her stomach area and see if you feel anything hard. If so she's egg bound. Ive personally never had to deal with that so I don't know what to do. The worst part yet is simply inbreeding. The places that breed parakeets don't separate siblings or parents so there is a large amount of inbreeding which Leeds to horrid genetics and health. I had a parakeet who was a victim of this who just died out of nowhere. One minute she was singing happily and the next minute she literally dropped dead. She just closed her eyes and plopped right over. I would try giving her some apple cider vinegar in her water and see if that helps. (Only put in about a tablespoon) I hope she feels better!
