This is the second time this is happening. Last week one chicken looked sick one morning, many blood stools in the coop at 8 am already. Treated her with antibiotics that same day and treated her for 7 days (other chicken too). It stopped. Now we are almost 2 weeks later, it happened again this morning (one week after we stopped the antibiotics). Both chickens look fine, not sick yet. They are eating, both look very normal (unlike last week). Any idea about how to go about this? Last week I thought it was coccidiosis, now I don't know anymore. Please look at the picture and let me know if you have experience with this. These chickens are wonderful, they are my kids' pets too, we don't want to lose them. Thanks a lot.

I have DE that i got yesterday, is that Ok? I have to look up the drugs you indicated.

So shall I get any of those drugs? If a choice, which one shall I get? Do you think the feed store would carry it or do I necessarily have to go to the vet?

worms, very bad worms (with possible cocci)!!! unfortunately I speak from experience. your pics are a dead match to what I saw come out of my roo right after I got him as a young cockerel. I treated with antibiotics, good for a few days then cameback worse, treated then for cocci, things got better till treatment was done then it came back, finally saw a round worm amid the horror. Did the Wazine then fendbendazole treatment. Worked, you would not believe the pile of round worms he passed! (but now I know better and would just do the Valbazen.) Then I gave lots of probiotics and protein, waited 10 days and dosed him again. repeated the probiotics and protein along with high quality feed and he was fine tho stunted and took him a long time to mature. Now he is a handsome young roo!

Thanks a lot for your awesome suggestions. I am in Canada (British Columbia). I am really hoping that I can get the drugs you talked about from the feed store first thing tomorrow. If not, we will go through the vet, as we won't let our chickens die. And now that Chickisoup described the horrible worms that might be inside them, I won't let the alien invaders win. Thanks again.
