My Campine Bantam hen layed an egg today with a few spots of blood on the shell? Do you think there is a reason to be concerned?
Another rooster was trying to get at her mate through the chicken wire, and they were fighting a little, so I guess there's a very small chance the blood could be his. The egg was in the nesting box, though, which makes me think the blood is probably the hen's.
Edit: Definitely blood and not poo
