Blood on eggs, what would cause this?

Within the last few days my SS (i believe) has laid an egg with blood on it. She doesn't seem to have any problems or anything and no ones pecking on her. Why would this happen and could it cause a problem. It seems to just be a drop that gets smeared on it. Thanks for the help john.

is this one of her first eggs? sometimes when they first start to lay, they have alittle blood with it, until they get used to it.... no worries,

I have seen a little blood on eggs too, probably isn't anything to worry about, just keep an eye on her for a while to make sure.
