My local place... Apparently offers $1,000 for the first month of donations. You can make decent $$ selling plasma.
Here in Denton, the old nickname was āvisiting the vampires.ā Plasma donation is a paying gig and has been for some 30 years plus as far as I know. Typical plasma donation is a twice a week pattern. It really depends on your hydration skills. If you were to get yourself up to ānear idealā hydration the plasma visits will be a smooth event. If you go in dehydrated, it will take as much as 2x as long for the machine to pull and separate the RBC (Red Blood Cells) and give it back to you at the end.I Googled.
I'm confused.
All of the links that I'm clicking on in my Google search (for donating plasma) pay for it. What!?
The first two websites do not give detailed information about how often or what the requirements are in order to get paid. This is weird to me.

I did read a bit on the site I linked. It did mention drinking plenty of water before and after the appointment and avoiding caffeine. Here in Denton, the old nickname was āvisiting the vampires.ā Plasma donation is a paying gig and has been for some 30 years plus as far as I know. Oh btw, they used to give you an IV infusion of saline. It was never warmed up enough for me⦠always gave me the chills to the point of showing goosebumps about 3/4 of the way through the infusion. Plan to go somewhere for a meal (something light) and stay away from caffeine for the rest of the day! Your heart will thank you profusely for this kindness!
The local place was called Navi-biomedicalā¦. Itās a new name now. Iād been debating visiting them again for about a year nowā¦. But, having talked with my high school buddyā¦. Yeah. Iām likely gonna start soon. My birthday is later this monthā¦. I may stop in this week and see the details.
Iāll look at your link in a little whileā¦. Gonna go tend to chickens & feed dogsā¦. You know Iām good for it.![]()
I did it from ~1999-2003 āon and off.ā And donāt recall how much more then what you made was my take home twice a week.Wow, has the pay increased! I used to go 2x a week. I got $5 the first time and $7.50 the second time in the same week.
But that was about 40 years ago...
