Hello,
I am new to candling and could use some advice. Is this a blood ring? As I was taking a photo I think I saw it move. It could be just me hoping this egg is alive. Thoughts??? Thanks!!

What day are you on? I had what I thought was a blood ring on day 5, and it ended up being a normal "blood island" for the embryo to develop. I candled again on day 7, and lo and behold, my "blood ring" has a very nice network of spider veins now!

I think day 8 or 9.

When in doubt, wait it out! If it looks "maybe" alive, leave it for another day or two. Then you should be able to tell if it's growing, or if the blood ring is just getting more defined.
