so my lohmann hens are all 1 year olds. but there's often blood spots in there egg yolk. and these spots are often so big and disgusting looking. and when I say they come often in there eggs, I mean often, not From time to time, it happens a lot. and I have never seen this in the eggs from my green and white egg layers.
my customers have stared to ask me if there sick or something and I'm like no there fine. they free range everyday and act healthy.
but why does the blood spot come so often in there eggs?

I recently culled there rooster this summer, is this maybe because the miss him? no I don't thing so tho because they don't seem to miss him. but I don't know.
is it possible they need any vitamin or somthing? what could be the problem her?

In my experiences those hens that are always flying about can get blood spots easier. I see it more in younger birds too.

ok, I know 3 other people her I Iceland that has had this breed and got rid of them because of this problem, the blood spots are not small like happens sometimes in chicken eggs. these spots are most often huge and bad looking. I have been thinking of quit owning this breed to because of this and also because they have been attacking other breeds in my flock so I always have to keep them separate from my other chickens.

but my mom doesn't want to quit them just yet because there eggs are so big and she likes big eggs (even tho she want's to get rid of the blood spots). so I was just checking her for advice her but I think this might just be the breed, since there's 3 other people her in Iceland with the same experience with this breed.

also the lohmann hens her in Iceland arend exactly lohmann hens, there mixed with something, so I'm not saying all lohmanns are like this, but I think the lohmanns her in Iceland are like this since me and 4 other people have this problem with them

@sóley

it seems to be a blood pressure issue. Got this on one hen when she was ill, never before or after. At the time she was receiving topical medication (that should not have affected her that way), but she was eating richer food than usual. She was on a mash of high protein poult food (baby turkeys) with crushed feed corn. Is it possible that the reason they are doing this in your area is that they are eating the same food ?
