One of my ducks had a blood feather that had to be pulled. The feather was no longer bleeding and the fry blood had been cleaned. We reintroduced him to his flock and they started pecking the injured week. The aggressive pecking caused more blood. Has anyone else had this happen? What are the solutions? When can I reintroduce our injured duck to his flock safely?

Yeah, this is normal, birds can be brutal. If the wound is not a spot that can be bandaged, there are medicated products made specifically for poultry that are colored blue so the wound isn’t as appealing.

This is normal with birds however can cause cannibalism’s. I would keep it cleaned and stop the blood, covering it (depending on area) may help.

Blue kote is the product. get the one with the dauber it's easier to use the spray makes everything purple. So wear gloves, old clothes and the dauber instead of spray, I usually dab the dauber onto a paper towel before using but since this is a wing you probably wouldn't have to.
