Blood with solid droppings

Is the Corid water the only source of water available to them? No puddles of water they are drinking from?

If the bloody poop is not clearing up, then you would want to continue to the 7days.
Yes - I am keeping them penned full-time during treatment to make sure they don’t drink from puddles, hose reels, or sprinklers (all favorites when they’re out).

My dad said we can move the coop and pen, burn the ground with propane torches, till and roll , and add new sand. Then replace the coop/pen. Does that sound ok?

All the birds are this spring’s chicks.

That sounds like a lot of work. I would probably just add a new layer of sand, and try to pick up some fresh droppings daily, while stirring to keep it dry. A lot of people use poop boards under the roosts to collect droppings daily and dispose of. You really cannot sterilize a coop or a yard. Cocci are in the dirt. Just keeping it dry and letting them out on the yard, so they are not pecking through droppings is usually good enough. I would complete 7 days of Corid. Some people will then reduce the dosage to 1/3 of the dose and do another 5 days. Be sure to provide some probiotics and plain yogurt with live cultures is an inexpensive way to do it. Toss out a teaspoonful per bird in some wet feed daily during and for a week after treatment. This helps boost the beneficial gut bacteria.

Personally, I would take out all bedding, nesting material, and anything on the flooring, like pine shavings. Mix up some Dawn blue dish soap, just like you would to wash dishes, and go spray everything down with it, including the flooring. Let it dry. Replace the nesting, bedding, and flooring material. IF your flooring is dirt/sand, you can take a shovel, and turn the dirt, but the soap residue won't hurt them if you don't turn the dirt.
