Bloodied Head From Pecking

One of my hens has been bloodied from pecking. Would Vick's VapRub help keep the others away??

Blu Kote can be used to stop bleeding and the dye covers the red blood so they won't pick because of the red blood. If they are feather picking or something then you might want to seperate them somehow.

My daughter had this happen to her polish hen... the first time we just cleaned it up and it was fine for awhile and then it happened again.....We ended up getting her a friend and they are in a coop separate from the others...not sure if you can stop this from happening...

Keep it separate from the rest and put a protective cone on it.

Update; I isolated the injured hen for a couple days. Today, I regrouped her w/the flock- So far, things appear ok. Thanks to those above for the input.
