Bloody bum feathers.

My Daisy has blood on the feathers around her bum. She has no sign of a cut or wound and she is eating and scratching quite happily. I can find no bloody egg that she may have strained to lay. Any idea what the problem could be?

I would check for her being vent pecked by other chickens. Can you take a clear picture of her vent? Is she separated?

I have washed her bum and there is no sign of a wound. I have put a photo in another post .

I only have 2 other chooks, and they are not bothering her at all.

What's her poop like?
If there's no blood in the poop, I would take a wild guess she broke a blood feather or there's a small wound somewhere.

No blood in the poop, I cleaned her bum up and checked on her 2 or 3 times during the day and there is no sign of anymore bleeding. Someone suggested she may have strained when trying to lay although I found no blood covered egg.
