I went to check on my 2 remaining duck eggs (on this day 31), and my little cayuga that started pipping 2 days ago seemed to be stuck. The humidity was only at 30% yikes!! So, I peeled back just a bit of shell to help him, and quite a bit of blood came through. I stopped immediately. The little guy is really active and trying to get out. I hope he absorbs the blood and is fine. I stayed with him for 20 min and his activity did not change. Still breathing and opening his mouth, chirping. I added water and left it at about 85% humidity. Do you think he'll be alright?

Update: The little cayuga baby was out and dry with no issues this morning. Yayyyy!!!

HOPES GOOD FOR YOU AND YOUR EGG
DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO

Thanks Kriz,
I will check on him in the morning and report back. I hope to see a cute little black duckling that can't wait to get out and meet his yellow brother (Pekin) and brown and yellow sister (Mallard).
