Bloody egg yolk

Hello friends!
Does anyone know what could cause blood in the yolk?

Very healthy chickens (10-ish months old and been laying for about 5 months).

The yellow around the intact old with the blood is just another bursted yolk as I tried to separate out the bloody on from two other eggs. The egg that has blood on the hold otherwise looked and felt completely normal.

Any ideas what this could be from?

Thanks, in advance!

Blood spots are not very common but it has something to do with a blood vessel that burst in their reproductive tract when the egg was being made. There's nothing wrong with your hen nor the egg, not that most would want to eat that. Usually they're just a dot.

You shouldn't keep seeing it though as it's sort of a rarish thing.
