BLOODY EGG

I woke up this morning to cook some eggs, I cracked one and in the yolk there was a red dot which I believe is blood? I scooped out the yolk and threw it away cause I was really scared. What does this mean?? Please help.

Every once in the while an egg forms that way. That drop of blood is not a baby. infertile eggs are as likely to develop that way too. Even those from the store.

no i threw it away but it was like a red dot of red and no its not a rooster its a chicken female

It's normal. Also perfectly fine to eat, so you don't need throw them away next time.

Roosters dont lay eggs i was asking if you have one because it is common to have a blood spot in a fertilized egg. I cant determine what you saw without a picture but the article i linked might be of some help
