Bloody eggs

Several of my chickens are laying bloody eggs. I have already lost one chicken, and I am finding more bloody eggs each day. These are not new layers and has been going on for several days. I am at a loss. Need help.

Hello and welcome to BYC

Are the blood on the shells or inside the eggs? If it's on the shells I'd suggest you check the hens' vents for mites and signs of vent pecking as this can cause blood on the eggs in older layers. Good luck!
