hello all, i need help with a situation. i am not sure if i should be worried or not.
i was walking out to put the chickens away for bedtime on the roosts and i picked my cockerel Palmer up. he is a pavlovskaya, and has a crest. it hangs down in front of one eye. i lifted it up gently but saw his eye had a little blood in it.
should i be worried? i will give more details if you need them.
thanks,
Marie

Can you slowly gesture your hand towards his eye and watch for a blink?Rinse the eye off with water then apply Vetericyn Eye spray(Which can be found at a local feed store).Spray it on there a few times a day and he should heal up fine.

thank you so much. the cut appeared to be on his eyelid. should i still rinse and spray?

i have not gotten the spray yet, but i checked his eye and it seems to be healing all on it's own. should i still spray?
sorry for the constant questions,
Marie
